The Living Ark Sanctuary

The Living Ark Sanctuary is registered Scottish charity 037326. Our remit is:

  • To help vulnerable animals and people and provide them with a peaceful place to live.
  • To construct eight ecological chalets and offer them for therapeutic purposes to autistic children and other vulnerable groups,such as cancer sufferers or the disabled.
  • To provide a 'healing space'including a library and educational centre, in an environment promoting biodiversity, quality of life, community involvement and cultural heritage.
  • To work with other scientists and doctors and explore the nature of animal consciousness and its relationship to human consciousness and health. To offer a series of programmes and talks and scientific studies in partnership with universities and organizations such as the Society for Companion Animal Studies and the Scientific and Medical Network.
  • It is hoped to demonstrate that coexistence with animals in a peaceful environment has proven health benefits.
